A J Hospital Medical Director Dr Prashanth Marla inaugurated the exhibition. Vinaya Hospital and Research Centre Director Dr Hansaraj Alva was the guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion, city-based Mahalasa School of Art lecturer N S Pattar said Andrade has been successful in reflecting Indian rural and folk culture in his paintings.

“Artists are rare who blend their skills and creativity to bring Indian folk arts in their artistic expressions. Andrade belongs to this rare category,” he observed. A diploma holder from Mahalsa School of Art, Santhosh Andrade has received ‘The Best Indian Traditional Composition Award’ from Bombay Art Society recently.
