Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta, has strongly condemned the heinous and barbaric act of chopping cows udders at Chamarajpet , Bengaluru. He further accused the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah of attempting to cover up the case by labeling the accused as mentally unstable, thus fostering a jihadi mentality, which he called deeply regrettable.

Capt Chowta urged the government to honour the sanctity of cows and conduct a thorough, multi-dimensional investigation to uncover those responsible for the atrocious act. He demanded strict action against the guilty, emphasising that only then will justice be served. Impartial probe should be conducted.

"Cows are revered by followers of Sanatana Dharma. The milk of cows is akin to nectar and is often equated to a mother’s breast milk. This sacred being, which sustains humanity without discrimination of caste, creed, or religion, has been subjected to such a horrific act, revealing the depravity of the perpetrator's mindset," Chowta stated.

With public outrage spreading across the state, the accused has been swiftly arrested. However, this hasty move by the government raises suspicions about its intentions, Chowta said. Questions are also being raised by cow owners, who wonder how someone labeled as mentally unstable could specifically target and chop udders of cows.

"It is no secret that the Congress-led government’s lenient stance on anti-social and anti-national elements is encouraging such actions. The withdrawal of cases against organisations like KFD and PFI has only nurtured and supported a jihadi mentality. This is the outcome of their appeasement politics," Chowta asserted.

Stating that there is a rise in cow slaughter incidents, theft of cattle from sheds, he said that cow thieves have flourished since the Congress government came to power.
