Education Department and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan observed World Disabled Day at Government Model Primary School on Thursday.
He said that government must make facilities to provide home based education to special children so as to bring them to mainstream and provide them opportunity to live like normal children.
Teacher Shubhavathi presided over the programme and said that government is providing all types of equipment and scholarship to special children and hence children must make use of these facilities and carve a niche for themselves. Special Children Bhargavi and Mahaveer inaugurated the programme.
Block Resource Person (in-charge) B Shivaram, SDMC President R Krishna and other officials were present.
