In the past 3 months incidents of theft has increased in the town. In one week itself as many as 10 complaints were lodged in town police station. Several cases were investigated without registering.
The incidents of thefts even in busy areas in broad day light has created panic among the public.
Hitherto only locked up houses were burglared but now houses, including one in Nagart pet and one in Pump House are burgled with breaking open the back-door.
The public were unhappy that the police had not taken up any action despite lodging complaints. Two days after the Tahsildar house was broken into, the police have started keeping vigil even during the day.
People call it a welcome action.
