DC warns black marketeers

“The administration will act tough against those involved in black market of cotton seeds. Two traders from Nanjangud have been arrested for selling the seeds on a higher price tag than the actual price,” he told reporters here.

Talking to reporters after a meeting with the representatives of farmers, he said there are complaints of cotton seeds being sold in black market.

The concerned officers are asked to act tough on the hoarders and black marketeers. “We are awaiting release of seeds from the government.

 I am aware of ryot’s problems and in touch with the senior officials to solve the crisis at the earliest,” he said. Earlier, the DC held talks with the representatives of the protesting farmers and assured them that the administration would resolve their issues at the earliest.
