Dead tigress' nails missing!

The fingers are pointed out at the forest staff, but no action has been initiated so far.
According to sources, the tigress had died near Tegada Marada Kindi  in Taraka area of Antarsanathe Forest Range on June 4. On receipt of information, DFO Yatishkumar, ACF Sunil Powar and RFO  A V Satish visited the spot and conducted the mahazhar.

Subsequently, veterinary expert Dr Prakash of H D Kote and Dr Kushalappa of Sargur conducted the postmortem. The nails of the tigress were intact at the time the postmortem was conducted.

The RFO asked the casual labourers to cremate the carcass of the tigress and left the place.  The nails reportedly disappeared after the officer left the place.
When contacted, the RFO said that the tigress did not have nails on the left paw as she was more than 12 years old.
