Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, he said, that the government always respects the verdict of judiciary and the government is committed to follow the same.
The State government is committed to the upliftment and conservation of Kannada language and effort would be made regarding the same, he said.

Resignation sought

Meanwhile, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee working president D K Shivakumar demanded the resignation of Education Minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, in view of comments passed by the Karnataka High Court.

Talking to newsmen in Belgaum on Saturday, he said the State government should spell out its education policy. Before that, Kageri should step down owing moral responsibility.
Successive governments have committed mistake but now there was a need for a definite education policy on the background of competitions at national and international level, he added.
