Decision on milk price hike tomorrow
The chief minister, when contacted by Deccan Herald, said he would hold a meeting with the chairman and officials of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) on Monday.
The revised price may come into force from April 6 or 7.
“There has been a demand to increase the price of milk to help farmers. When compared to the milk prices of other states, here the price is lower. Besides, the production of milk is coming down,” he added.
Earlier in the day at Belthangady, Yeddyurappa had told reporters that the milk price will go up from Monday.
