Member Manjunath joined by other members, sought to know from president M P Arunkumar reasons for delay in start of construction of footpath on Visvesvaraya Road (V V Road).

Arunkumar replied that the footpath construction was delayed to the road widening exercise that stretch of road.

Unsatisfied by the reply, member K L Nagendra said that no basic work has been done at Holalu Circle. This is due to the road widening work which was taken up without any prior preparation or planning, he said.

He demanded that adopting a resolution and send it to the deputy commissioner so that development works could be hastened. Members Nagamma, Hosahalli Boregowda, Bus Nanjundappa demanded that at least the drainage work be taken up immediately.

Arunkumar suggested to the deputy commissioner and tahsildar to take up construction work of the footpath, which has become necessary due to the road widening.

He said there is no dearth of funds and the work will begin as soon as the DC issues necessary instructions. MLA M Srinivas, B Ramakrishna, vice-president M J Chikkanna, Sthayi Samithi president Gowrish and Commissioner Ramaswamy were present.
