South and North Bangalore will lead the demand for residential housing in City, which has already witnessed about 8,000 new housing units in 2013, according to consultancy firm Knight Frank.
The first quarter of 2013 saw the northern region leading the way, accounting for 33 per cent of the total share, while South Bangalore saw 29 per cent of new launches. West and East Bangalore also witnessed a number of new project launches, accounting for 11 per cent and eight per cent of the total share. Bangalore witnessed the launch of around 35,500 residential units in 2012.
Most projects are scheduled to be completed in 2015, the report said.
