Mayor Sandesh Swamy, corporators and MCC authorities inspected a demonstration of new method on Kantharaja Urs road.  A Bangalore-based company Ladwa demonstrated the technology here. A 50 kg ready mix of tar could be used without any machine work or heating it and plastered on the site. It requires very less time and manpower.

The ready tar will set within 10 minutes even in wet  conditions. The method does not require holding up traffic for more than 15 minutes on the roads where the pothole filling works was done, said Anand M N, Manager, Marketing of Ladwa. A 50 kg bag costs Rs 850, he told the Mayor and the councillors’ delegation. Mayor Sandesh Swamy told the company representative that MCC would discuss the issue in the council and standing committee before approving for buying the ready tar kits.
