The official Rajashekhar Shivarudrappa had demanded Rs. 21,000 from Kashinath Chandrashekhar Domanal of Shirakanahalli village in Indi taluk, Lokayukta police said
He had already received Rs 3,000 and was trapped while receiving the remaining amount, sources said.
Shivarudrappa has been arrested and a court has remanded him to judicial custody, Lokayukta police said.
