The incident happened outside the court complex where the Kerala lawyer Arun Das accused of murdering Prasin Susan of Kalpetta in his native, was smoking near the toilet, mostly after the punishment was awarded.
The photograhper who clicked the picture was questioned by Nanjangud police who had brought the accused to the court. Cops insisted that the DH staffer meet Chief Accounts Officer and the judge since there was no permission to take pictures inside the complex.
The photographer was accused of speaking in singular.
The cops changed their tone later when a High Court advocate from Mysore told that the cops were on the wrong side. Meanwhile, the juniors of the defendant’s counsel, allegedly tried to level false charges against the photographer, but to no avail.
