Mangaluru: The search process of bodies claimed to have been buried by the complainant witness was carried out using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) by the SIT in the 13th spot identified by the complainant witness, in Dharmasthala village on Tuesday.

The images collected through the scanning process using a drone and the GPR device were analysed by the experts.

Human skeletal remains have been found in two of the total 17 spots identified by the complainant witness so far.

The SIT will carry on with the process of exhumation only if the human skeletal remains are spotted through the scanning process in the 13th spot.

SIT Head Pranab Mohanthi visited the spot.

SIT SP Jithendra Kumar Dayama and Puttur Assistant Commissioner Stella Verghese were present.
