Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the BJP leaders supporting Veerendra Heggade on alleged Dharmasthala mass burial case are also seeking reinvestigation in Soujanya case which is against Heggade and hence the party should clarify who is being favoured.
He was speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Tuesday.
“Soujanya case was investigated by the CBI, which is under Centre’s control. Now BJP leaders are saying that they would support Soujanya’s family to move the Supreme Court. They are only taking political advantage. I have not seen what is there in the CBI report related to Soujanya case. It is up to Soujanya’s mother to decide about going on an appeal to the Supreme Court,” he said.
Replying to a question, Siddaramaiah termed BJP’s Dharma Yatre as a “Politics Yatre.”
He said that Heggade himself had welcomed the SIT probe. “Let truth come out and suspicion or allegations against Dharmasthala be cleared. The investigation is being conducted independently and we are not interfering with it,” the chief minister said. He added that BJP should not use everything for politics.
