The activists submitted a memorandum to Central Minister K H Muniyappa in this regard.
Sitting in dharna for some time outside the Minister’s house, the activists said the government and private colleges should reduce the amount taken as fees. They should be allowed to collect only tuition fees, the activists said.

There should be a single common rule governing entry into all professional courses. The institutions having such courses should be prevented from taking money in the form of fine. Poor yet intelligent students should be given the right to education, demanded the activists.

ABVP state unit secretary Vinay Bidare, district convenor Pradeep, district coordinating secretary Gurunath Rajgir led the dharna.
