Party workers should work to bring back Congress to Vidhana Soudha, said KPCC Working President D K Shivakumar.

Speaking at the party workers meet in Chikmagalur on Tuesday, he said: “We have four Central ministers from the State. I have just got the message that District President K B Mallikarjuna has resigned to his post. I will make arrangement for the post of President after returning to Bangalore.”

Party will be built on the model of cadre base. Those workers who work well in block level will be given post in Central government’s committee, commission and boards.”
He said “there is no difference between Congress party workers and those who came to party from other party. Congress has polled more votes in Chikmagalur in the Lok Sabha elections.”

A team will be constituted to keep an eye on the utilisation of central funds in the district, he informed.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has special concern towards Karnataka. He is ready to provide all help towards the development of the State. By putting some condition for Yashaswini scheme, BJP government is denying the facility to the poor.  The scheme should be extended to members of the family, he added.
