Association Vice-President Basava Raj alleged that the officers have carried out K M Road widening work haphazardly. “The owner of Sahamanur Petrol Bunk has shifted the electricity pole near Hanumanthappa Circle which is now posing danger to the pedestrians. Randomly scattered electricity wires could cause disaster at any moment. The authorities concerned should take action immediately, failing which severe protest will be staged,” he warned.

They submitted a memorandum to the Mescom Engineer following the protest.
The office bearers of the Association submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on Thursday, opposing the DC’s order which has directed all auto rickshaws in Chikmagalur district to fix meters. “With the damaged roads we are already incurring lot of loss. Installing meter means an added expense. Let the administration fix auto fare first. With the hike in petrol, diesel and gas prices, the auto drivers are put to trouble,” said the Association President K R Anil Kumar.Association Vice-president Basava Raj, General Secretary Vinay and others were present.
