Lifeguards at Someshwara Beach rescued three persons of a family from drowning while a child died, on the outskirts of Mangaluru on Monday.

Others who were rescued are Chintamani ketkar, 39-year-old, shraddha Ketkar (35), Gargi Ketkar (7). The condition of Gargi is said to be serious.
The mishap occurred when they were playing in the water and were washed away by a huge wave.
