Karnataka Dalit Sangarsha Samithi (Ambedkavar Vada) activists on Thursday staged a demonstration in front of the mini Vidhana Soudha here seeking the arrest of a high school head master who had allegedly sexually abused girl students.

Gopal Reddy, head master of government-aided Janata High School in Kembodi in Kolar
taluk, has been accused of sexually abusing students.

The protesters urged the Government to dismiss Reddy from the service and register a criminal case against him. Such incidents would prevent parents from sending girls to schools, the DSS leaders said.

The DSS also demanded the Government to regularise the services of 1,600 data entry operators working in Nemmadi Kendras across the State since 2006.

As most of these employees are physically challenged persons and women, the latest move to hire new personnell would make it difficult for them to eke out a living, they said.
