Addressing the inaugural programme of vehicle rally organised by Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) as a part of Kannada Rajyothsava on Sunday, he said that many unemployed youth feel that learning in Kannada medium is the only reason for the State that they are in. Hence, the Government has to form projects in such a way that language also develops and youth who have learnt in Kannada medium too become employable.
He said that people should not remember Kannada only on November 1 and then forget about it.
“We should work for the cause of the language all round the year. Only then Kannada will get the position and respect that it deserves,” he said and added that many of the problems faced by the nation today are caused due to unemployment but unfortunately the government at the centre and those in various states are taking terrorism as the major problem threatening the nation. The fact that even terrorism has its cause to unemployment is not understood by the political parties.
DYFI organised a signature campaign demanding the government to provide employment to the youth. The campaign was inaugurated by DYFI State President N L Bharathraj. A street play on unemployment problem named ‘Uttara sigada prashnegalu’ bagged appreciation from the viewers.
