Education: DDPI calls for concerted efforts

“Teachers should upgrade their knowledge on a continuous basis. They should imbibe new experiences and pass them on to their students. The teaching community should come out with plans that would yield good results in a short span of time,” he suggested. The DDPI, now transferred to Davangere was in a farewell programme organised by District High School Assistant Teachers Association at Surya Educational Institution in Booragmakalahalli on City outskirts, recently.

“Four taluks in the district are educationally backward. Teachers should strive to improve the pass percentage and put in studious efforts in this regard,” he opined.

The new incumbent Chandrashekhar, who spoke on the occasion emphasised the role of assistant teachers in the education system. He advised them to discharge their duties under the guidance of the headmaster and without harming the interest of the pupils. BEO  K Manjunath, working president of State High School Assistant Teachers Association Gopin ath, vice-president Chennamallikarjuna were present.
