Union Minister for Human Resource Department Prakash Javadekar promised students to work out a system for providing them credits for participating and reaching the finals of Hackathon programmes, conducted by MHRD.
He was inaugurating the grand finale of the third edition of Smart India Hackhathon via video conferencing from JECRC University in Jaipur.
Earlier, he praised Wing Commander Abhinandan, who had shot down an F-16 and became a hero. “I am proud of the armed forces of the country,” the minister said. He also said the Prime Minister was leading the country from front, achieving what was impossible a few years ago into something possible now.
The HRD minister said that previous hackathons were successful and out of the ideas given by the students, 19 innovations were successfully incorporated into various establishments.
“Students should be excited to work on real-time problem and participation is more important than winning. From contributor of innovations, we should become owners of the innovations,” he told students.
