As many as eight candidates filed 13 nominations on Monday.
Two sets of nominations were filed by Pramod Madhwaraj from JD(S), M K Dayanand from Proutist Sarva Samaj party filed, M K Ganesh (Independent), Gautam Prabhu (Shiv Sena) and Shekar Havanje (Republican Party of India). While Suresh Kunder (Uttama Prajakeeya Party), Ganapthy Shettigar (Independent) and Vijay Kumar (CPI, Marxist and Leninist) filed one nomination each.
