Six people sustained minor injuries when a wild elephant attacked the vehicle in which they were travelling by at Kaikamba on Dharmasthala-Subrahmanya stretch on Saturday morning.

The vehicle has been completely damaged in the attack.

The elephant ran inside the forest after a KSRTC bus driver, who spotted the attack around 7 am, started blowing the horn.

There were eight passengers in the car. All were from Kadur in Chikkamagaluru district.
