The protesters alleged that land mafiosi in connivance with some government officers were attempting to grab the land of the decades-old school.
Overnight attack
They said a stone-enclosure had been put around the playground of the school overnight despite which no steps had been taken to clear it. They warned of intensifying the protest if the encroachment was not cleared at the earliest.
A memorandum was submitted by the protesters to the police sub-inspector.
