The department of primary and secondary education has decided that teachers who are not teaching properly in government primary schools in urban areas, that is, Zone A, will compulsorily be transferred to Zone C, rural areas.

The guidelines for transfer of primary school teachers for the 2017-18 academic year were published on Tuesday on the website of the department of public instruction. The timetable for the process has already been announced.

The guidelines say that teachers who were appointed in 2014 and have completed three years of service should be compulsorily transferred if their performance is not up to the mark. The complete schedule and instructions are hosted on the department website (http://www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in/).
