Keeping up with Bangaloreans's love for travelling, tourism representatives of four countries-Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, who have come together to promote tourism under the name-European Quartet, visited the City to promote tourism here.

Terming it as affordable tourism and value for money, representatives including Emilia  Kubik (Poland), Krisztina Basca ( Hungary) and Jan Herget (Czech Republic) said most Indian tourists visiting abroad for holidays like to visit different countries on the same trip. And clubbing of these four countries is absolutely suited to Indian needs, they said.

Increasing number

The representatives said in the year 2012, approximately 60,000 Indian tourists have visited the four countries and the number is increasing every year.  Unlike, Switzerland, Paris or even London which are very expensive, these four countries offer you value for money. One can enjoy nature, architectural beauty , culture at the same time in much less money, said Jan.

The tourists can visit the countries throughout the year and enjoy summer, snow, spring autumn, said Emilia.

The Christmas fest is particularly interesting for tourists to be a part of and they can enjoy carnivals, food, cultural dance performances during the fest.

Major destinations for tourists include Budapest, Prague, Zakobane besides others. Prague alone has 12 UNESCO heritage sites and about 700 castles, said the representatives.
