Police said Rajput had taken the video of his sexual act on his mobile phone and had sold the CDs in the open market.
Arrested in Nipani
After the woman complained to police, Rajput went into hiding and was arrested from Nipani in Belgaum district. A court remanded him in judicial custody on Friday.
Police said that they plan to question a man who had helped him to transfer pictures from mobile phone to CD.
Singh was once considered a close associate of state Congress president R V Deshpande. However, after he was externed for his conduct in a case a couple of years, party leaders were were maintaining a distance from him.
