This was finalised at the meeting chaired by Chief Executive Officer Jayram, who is also chairman of the Balbhavan.

Issues such as mobilisation of resources, programmes for holistic development of kids, appointment of resource persons, forming management and working committees, deployment of security guards were also discussed.

MLC B Ramakrishna said many citizens did not know the important of balbhavan and its role in overall development of their kids. The officials concerned were
were asked to prepare a road map, working plan, project cost and other details for the total renovation of building. All possible assistance would be provided in this regard, he added.
Jayaram said Balbhavans should not be restricted holding only summer camps alone for the children as special programmes should be held on national festivals.

A team of officials from the district administration would visit Bangalore to see functioning of BalBhavan there.

The Bangalore model would be replicated here too. Donation from from private institutions, factories and philanthropists would be received for its development. City Municipal Council Member B Shivaprakash Babu, Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Affairs H P Manjula, Deputy Director of Woman and Child Welfare Department Vimala, CMC Commissioner Ramaswamy, Red Cross Vice-President Meera Shivalingaiah, Deputy Conservator of Forest Vinaykumar and others were present.
