While people all over the country are busy celebrating Deepavali, a family in Mutuguppe village attached to Chandragutti hobli in Sorab taluk is facing a social boycott.
The family has been banned from entering a temple in the village or using water from the village wells.
The villagers are not allowed to converse with Kalappa’s family--the one facing the social boycott. Kalappa has lodged a complaint at the Sorab police station.
In his complaint, he stated that some villagers had attacked him during Lord Ganesha festival this year. Following this, he had lodged a complaint with police station against the will of the village leaders.
Because Kalappa didn’t attend the negations meet convened by village leaders. So they imposed social boycott on his family.
He has sought action against eight people in the complaint.
