Speaking on the occasion, Taluk Panchayat president Saraswathamma Thammanna said the benefit was being extended to include fertilisers under Special Unit Scheme and on the basis of the pahani.
She called upon farmers to take advantage of the benefit. She also said that there were complaints of misuse of seeds and fertilisers distributed under the scheme and warned of stringent action against such illegal act. The TP president asked officials to ensure adequate stock of fertilisers as sowing has begun in the taluk.
