As many as 138 people affected by the natural calamity in Kodagu were provided with Rs 18 lakh in financial assistance by Vidyodaya Sangha of T Narasipura.
The amount was disbursed during a programme organised at Kodava Samaja on Sunday.
Vidyodaya Sangha secretary Mahadevaswamy said that Rs 25,000 each was provided to 12 victims in the past and Rs 10,000 each was provided to 43 flood-affected families.
Association members Uday Kumar, Riaz and Vajregowda, principal Ramachandra, Seva Kendra representatives Biddatanda S Thammaiah, Thammu Poovaiah and Pramod were present at the programme among others.
