Finland, which partnered with Karnataka last year to exchange information and expertise in the fields of science, research, innovation and skill development, has now proposed to extend the trade agreement to other sectors including industries, education and energy.

Nina Vaskunlahti, ambassador of Finland to India who called on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy here on Thursday, is said to have held a detailed discussion regarding the MoU signed between the two parties last September.

According to a statement released by the chief minister’s office (CMO), Vaskunlahti, impressed by the progress made, had proposed to broaden the scope of the agreement.
