The High Court on Thursday granted stay on the FIR filed against University of Mysore  vice chancellor K S Rangappa who is facing charges of irregularities during his stint as the VC of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) in 2010.

The complainant, Dr A Khadar Pasha, financial officer of KSOU, filed an FIR against Prof Rangappa in Jayalakshmipuram Police station, Mysuru, accusing him of certain irregularities in purchase of computers for KSOU in 2010.  Prof Rangappa approached the High Court contending that there were no irregularities and all the purchases made were approved by the syndicate members too.
