Fire broke out at several areas at the wildlife reserve at B R Hills in the taluk on Sunday. A part of the forest was destroyed due to fire at Hosapodu.
Sources said the fire broke out on Saturday and continued on Sunday.
Fire was also noticed at Puranipodi, near Belavatha Dam and Ramakrishna Kuteera.
RFO Nagaraj told Deccan Herald that the fire was first noticed on a private land at Yarakanagadde Colony on Saturday evening.
A team of 30 officials were trying to douse the fire.
