The Ron police have arrested five people in connection with the incident in which former minister C C Patil was shot at on Sunday night.
Gopi alias Basanagouda Shekharagouda Hiregoudra, Hanumanthanagouda, Shivanagouda Ramanagouda Hiregoudra, Erappa Yogashetty Angadi and Channappagouda Shekharagouda Hiregoudra of Menasagi village were arrested by Sub Inspector S R Attikatagi and staff and produced before the court.
The court has remanded them in judicial custody till April 2.
