Originally from Surathkal, Pereira who had settled down in Dubai, told his parents that he had to collect some certificates and meet his friends. After Saturday’s air crash, friends and relatives of Pereira in Surathkal discovered that he too had died.
Pereira had completed PUC from Govinda Dasa College in Surathkal and obtained a diploma from the Sunkadakatte Polytechnic, before leaving for Dubai to take up a job in a shipping company.
