Subhash Guttedar, former MLA of the JD(S), joined the BJP in the city on Tuesday. The development comes in the wake of reports that B R Patil, the KJP legislator from Aland, is planning to join the saffron party.
Guttedar was welcomed into the party by Bidar MP Bhagwant Khuba, former minister Revu Naik Belamagi, former MLC Shashil Namoshi and Rajkumar Patil Telkur, the president of the Gulbarga rural district unit of the party.
Guttedar’s son Harshananda, a ZP member, and others also joined the BJP. ‘No conditions’
The former MLA said that he was joining the party without any conditions.
However, he hinted that he would be an aspirant for the party ticket from the Aland constituency in the next Assembly elections.
Subhash Guttedar added that he was really inspired by the pro-people model of governance followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Aland comes under the Bidar parliamentary seat.
