The deceased have been identified as Seshuraj (23), Lilly (35), Bhagyamma (45), all residents of Erikad near Marthalli and the van driver Mayi (25), was a resident of Chennipuradoddi of Kollegal taluk. The injured Modalimanohar, Angamary, Panneer Selvam, Kolandai Raj and Sindhia have been admitted to K R Hospital in Mysore.
Police said the victims were headed to a church in Sandhanapalya near Marthalli for a marriage after picking up the bridegroom from Jageri near Kollegal taluk. Superintendent of Police B S Prakash, Kollegal Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahadevaiah, Police Inspector Renukaradhya visited the spot. Hanur police have registered a case.
