Narayanaswamy, who is the complainant and the husband of former BBMP corporator Manjula N Swamy, has mentioned five separate incidents in his complaint where the offences occurred.

The others named in the FIR are Sunandamma, Venkatesh, Laxmamma, Jayamma, Latha and others.

Narayanaswamy has alleged that the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was formed in 2021 to investigate a case registered against former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, kept Arun, who is his friend, in illegal detention.

“They demanded Arun to produce obscene videos of me or my wife or else he would be framed in this case,” Narayanaswamy alleged. “If he provided the video, he could walk free.”

As per another incident in the FIR, Narayanaswamy claimed that in 2013, he was fixed by the Peenya police in a false case and spent some time in jail. He also claimed that the then-inspector in-charge Yathiraju Naidu acted on the behest of Munirathna. Narayanaswamy also alleged that Peenya police opened a “false” rowdy sheet on him after the aforesaid incident.

The complaint also mentioned police inspector Ayyanna Reddy, who was recently arrested by the SIT for conspiring with Munirathna to inject HIV-infected blood into then Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader R Ashoka.

According to Narayanaswamy, while he and his family were on a temple visit, Reddy illegally obtained their live location and shared it with Santhosh Siddegowda, who the complainant said was the then president of the youth Congress.

He further claimed that Munirathna directed Santhosh to follow them and identify them to “another person”. But the plan, as per the FIR, fell flat.

Quoting another incident, Narayanaswamy claimed that Munirathna had appointed 10 people during a public event to help the other suspects either “murder or outrage the modesty” of his wife, Manjula, as per the FIR.

The case was registered by the Nandini Layout police on Saturday, moments after the SIT announced that it had filed a chargesheet in another case where Munirathna is an accused.
