The deceased has been identified as Prakruthi (14). Her father Sudhir, mother Prabha and relatives Madhu and Ullas are severely injured in the mishap.
The injured were admitted to Crawford government hospital in Hassan for first aid and later shifted to Bangalore hospital for further treatment.
The family members are said to be natives of Ujire of Dakshina Kannada and currently residing in Bangalore. It is said that they were proceeding to Kukke Subrmanya temple to attend a wedding of one of their relatives when the mishap occurred, according to inspector Ganesh.
