‘Janamitra’, a district level newspaper is completing its 50th year on March 24.
As part of this a programme is being organised as part of golden jubilee celebrations, said editor K P S Pramod. Speaking at a press meet, he said former prime minister H D Deve Gowda will inaugurate the programme at 4.30 pm on the day. District-in-charge minister V Somanna will preside. Journalist H R Ranganath will release the souvenir.
Former minister H D Revanna will felicitate Pravathy K N Murthy on the occasion. Prizes will be distributed to those who had participated in various contests held as part of golden jubilee celebrations. A concert Nadalahiri by Praveen Godkhindi and troupe will be held.
