Gopala Gowda likely to be Kerala HC CJ

With the present Chief Justice S R Bannurmath due for his retirement shortly, it is learnt that the Supreme Court Collegium has selected Justice Gowda as the Chief Justice of Kerala High Court.

Though there is no official confirmation in this regard, it is learnt that his name is doing rounds among the advocates in the Kerala High Court.

Justice Gopala Gowda, born on 6 October 1951, enrolled as an advocate on 15 November  1975 and practiced in Karnataka High Court. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of Karnataka High Court on 11 June 1997 and became a permanent judge on 3 June 1999.
