The State government has accepted senior IAS officer S Subramanya’s application under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) and decided to relieve him from the service on September 30. He is presently the Principal Secretary to Agriculture department.
A 1983 batch IAS officer, Subramanya opted the VRS on personal reasons. When contacted, he said he is planning to start a non-government organisation to provide health care facilities to the poor and the needy. “I want to involve myself in health related activities. I like it most in my life,” he stated.
