Social activist Harsh Mander said that it is the responsibility of the government to deliver administration without affecting the rights of the citizens.

Speaking to reporters as a part of Karwan-e-Mohabbat on Monday, he said 20 cases of atrocities have occurred in different parts of the country in the last 10 days. A majority of them are related to atrocities on Dalits, Muslims and women. It is a tragedy that some incidents occurred in the presence of police which has been recorded and circulated in social media. Political parties in power should protect the rights of citizens without any discrimination, he demanded.

It is the responsibility of the government to provide justice to the family of cattle trader Hussainabba who died under mysterious circumstances in the presence of the police, Mandar said.
