The circular dated November 8 quotes the High Court’s July 22 order which directs the government to withdraw teachers, lecturers, professors and principals working on deputation in departments other than educational institutions.

The Court had observed that the students were bearing the brunt of the continued absence of the teachers who were deputed on other duties.

The circular, signed by G Kumar Naik, Secretary, Education Department, states that the headmasters of primary and high schools, and principals or faculty of PU colleges would be committing contempt of court if they violate the rule.
