Addressing a press meet at the Guest House in Kadur on Thursday, Deve Gowda said, “people of this constituency has chosen me as the parliament member. However, I could not visit the constituency due to my ill-health,” he said adding that more emphasis will be given to Kadur by allocating more funds for the development of the constituency.

Talking about differences among JDS leaders in Chikmagalur district, Deve Gowda said, “the issue has been brought to my notice. I will take stringent disciplinary action against all party workers who work against the party.”

To a query on implementation of irrigation schemes, he said that several irrigation projects were not taken up properly in the constituency due to lack of political will. “I will strive for the implementation of irrigation schemes in the taluk,” he assured.
