Replying to a question by BJP member Shashil G Namoshi in the Legislative Council, he said the aided colleges demand donation varying from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 from each student. But they continue to demand financial assistance from the government. Namoshi wanted to know what were the hurdles in awarding pension benefits for the staff of aided ITI colleges. He said the government had done away with the pension benefit for those appointed after April, 2006. The government would consider offering pension benefit for those recruited before April 2006.
