Green Chamundi campaign evokes good response

The Green Chamundi campaign of Clean Mysuru Foundation evoked good response with around 1,000 people participating in the seed ball preparations at the footsteps of Chamundi Hill on May 28.

More than 70,000 seed balls were prepared at the programme held between 7 am and 1 pm. Several organisations,  including Rajiv Sneha Balaga, Koti Vruksha Prathishtana and others participated actively in the programme.

Soil and compost was collected from MCC, ILFS, JUSCO, and Pinjrapole Mysore helped in arranging cow dung needed for seed ball preparation. Jain Association arranged breakfast for the participants.

Madhukesh of Clean Mysuru Foundation said, the seed balls will be placed in Chamundi Hill in the next three weeks with support from gram panchayat, Forest department, MCC, trekking groups and other like-minded organisations.
